Ocuco invites high school students to complete their gap year with our company and gain work experience with a real-world software development firm, preparing them for the working world. In addition, Ocuco is committed to investing and partnering with educational institutions such as Technological University Dublin (TUD). Ocuco partners and sponsors several non-profit sight-saving organizations annually across the globe. We do this through cash grants, sponsorships, and workplace giving. Some organizations we support include Optometry Giving Sight, Sightsavers, NCBI, Camara and Fighting Blindness.
Ocuco’s software is designed to allow optical practices to drastically reduce their dependence on paper through electronic patient records and communications. Equally, Ocuco’s offices strongly promote a paperless office practice. In addition, and in the first step of a global sustainability program, Ocuco now neutralizes the carbon emissions of its Dublin headquarters by working closely with GoCarbonNeutral.ie. As a result, every year we offset 2,320 tonnes of CO₂ by reforesting almost 15 acres of native woodland in Wicklow, Ireland.
